Open Arts Foundation part of The Emerging Space Seminar in Marseille, France

Open Arts Foundation was part of The Seminar – Emerging Space organized by Fai-Ar and In Situ Network in Marseille, France (23 – 25.03.2016). Victor Yankov – The Festival Director of Night/Plovdiv presented the organization at the three-day seminar.

The topic of the Emerging Space in 2016 was: Breaking down barriers: new approaches, unusual spaces, innovative partnerships

Artistic creation in public space encourages innovation in the presentation of writing, aesthetics, research and performance areas and production methods. Artists who work in this field are at the heart of social concerns, engaged with changes to territories and their uses. They bear witness to and sometimes criticize social, spatial and economic transformations, dealing directly with modern-day realities. They are often at the origin of initiatives to break down barriers, been in dialogue with social players, inventing new formats, connecting disjointed spheres, going beyond boundaries and breaking the rules. The aim of this event is to raise questions about the aesthetics and pioneering initiatives that arise from initiatives to break down barriers.
