OAF part of the international meeting “IN SITU meets ECoCs”

Open Art Foundation was part of the international meeting “IN SITU meets ECoCs. Interactive workshop for a shared European public space” on 03.03.2016 in Brussels. Vesselina Sarieva, director of OAF, presented the organization at the meeting.

The international platform for art in public spaces IN SITU, established in 2003, is bringing together 21 partner organizations from 14 countries. The platform specializes in scouting and promotion of artists, organisation of project laboratories and incubators, co-productions and promotion of emerging creations, organisation of conferences and seminars, etc. To date, IN SITU has supported over 150 European artists.

On the occasion of the closure of the 5-year META project, IN SITU organises a focused and interactive workshop: “IN SITU meets ECOcS”. The META cooperation project – supported by the European Commission – fosters the development of contemporary artistic creation that reflects the

dynamics at work between art, public space and the construction of European society.

The cooperation between the IN SITU network and  some past, present and future ECoCs is somehow natural, as they all share common objectives, concerns and issues. Intentions of this workshop are to share experience and best practices of the European public space, to combine expertise, and to build a common framework of collaboration.
