Open Arts Foundation was part of Salzburg Global Seminal for Young Cultural Innovators
October 11 to 16, 2016
Schloss Leopoldskron, Salzburg, Austria

The Festival director of Night/Plovdiv – Victor Yankov, part of Open Arts Foundation’s team, was one of the six Bulgarian cultural managers who participated in the third edition of Salzburg Global Seminar for Young Cultural Innovators in Salzburg, Austria. The Bulgarian hub was supported by America for Bulgaria Foundation. YCI is a ten-year project launched by Salzburg Global Seminar to engage 50 of the world’s most dynamic young cultural organizations and innovators every year.

These innovators join Salzburg from 10 “culture hubs” in six regions of the world to experience an opportunity in developing the vision, entrepreneurial skills, and global networks needed to advance their organizations, their causes and their communities.

Each annual YCI cohort is comprised of ten expert facilitators and fifty young cultural innovators between the ages of 25 and 35 from around the world. The group are balanced in terms of gender, genre, and geographic representation. Most of the participants come from “YCI hubs” that Salzburg Global Seminar is developing with partners in cities around the world, including Athens, Baltimore, Cape Town, Rotterdam, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Salzburg, Seoul and Phnom Penh.
