Open Arts Foundation was invited to participate in the 2nd Locop Network Meeting in Wroclaw.
Between July 7-10 OAF was presented by the festival director of Night/Plovdiv Victor Yankov in the Workshop on cultural sustainability and social economy – “Let’s Participate” in the current European Capital of Culture – Wrozlaw / Poland.
The 2nd LOCOP Network Meeting took the form of an intensive think-tank, organised around three thematic workshops. The Network Meeting itself on the one hand constructed to create a network for former, present and future local operators in order to reflect on the questions of the follow-up of ECOCs and to serve as an experience-sharing platform to aid local operators of the future ECOC cities.
Locop is seen also as a tool for advocacy – joint voice of these local operators can have much more impact compared to individual efforts that are often ignored. On the other hand, with the Network Meeting also aims to support and facilitate new cooperation and projects on an international scale.
The think- thank workshop consisted of participants from 10 ECOCS, mainly from the Central- and Eastern European countries, the Baltic States and the Balkan region.
