The first crowdfunding campaign for supporting museum collection will be launched within the framework of NIGHT/Plovdiv festival and will raise funds for the restoration of twenty unseen by the audience paintings part of the Regional Ethnographic Museum's Fund.
FLUCA – austrian cultural pavilion is pleased to present the project “Stretching the boundaries” with two interventions in the public space of Plovdiv by Sabine Bitter / Helmut Weber and Nicole Six / Paul Petritsch. The Festival director of Night/Plovdiv – Victor Yankov, part of Open Arts Foundation's team, was one of the six Bulgarian cultural managers who participated in the third edition of Salzburg Global Seminar for Young Cultural Innovators in Salzburg, Austria.
The twelfth edition of the NIGHT welcomed over 40 000 people on both festival evenings in the city under the hills. The cultural map of NIGHT/Plovdiv, 2016 this year offer more than 140 events at 70 locations in the city. Along with the already traditional programs "Museums and Galleries", "Culture and Club", "City and Public Spaces" and "Little Night" the festival presented a special program called "Open Arts".
A special guest of the NIGHT was Ariane Bieou – IN SITU network coordinator. She managed to visit most of the NIGHT`s events and on Sunday she presented IN SITU at FLUCA – the Austrian Cultural Pavilion.
The Creative Media Workshop will be in Hackathon format, where participants can experiment with different interactive tools (Kinect, Real Sense, Leap Motion, Arduino, etc.) and collaborate in the creation of installations, performances, mapping projections, audio-visual projects and creative applications.
Open Arts Foundation was part of The seven days Learning Journey in Berlin for cultural managers organized by Goethe Institute.
